Northward Georgia College & State University occurs as military college, located in Dahlonega, Georgia. It was founded around 1873 as North Georgia Agricultural College, & was a foremost co-educational college in the state. It late became Northerly Georgia College, so was given its todays title per Georgia Board of Regents in 1996. Rather a Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta, the spire of one of the campus buildings is covered in gold leaf, as Dahlonegthe was a major gold rush town in the 1830s.
